School Counselor

Megan and Jack Hello Blue Jays!!
I am honored to be working with the amazing students, families, and staff of Conemaugh Valley School District. I received a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from IUP in 2018 and a Master's degree from IUP in 2020. I have always had a love for psychology and working with children, so I combined my passions and went to school for School Counseling. I previously spent a year working at our very own CV Elementary before moving to the High School.
 
What does a School Counselor do?
I am here to help ALL students achieve academically, socially/emotionally, and explore future careers. I will listen to our students and work with teachers, parents/guardians, and the community to the best of my ability. Some topics discussed in my office may be difficult, so to respect the privacy of all parties involved, anything said in Ms. Hudson's office stays in my office UNLESS someone is hurting you, you want to hurt someone else, or you want to hurt yourself. Then, I know that more help is needed, and I need to reach out to families or local resources.
